Walls to ASME B36.19M. EN ISO 1127 gives the outside diameters of EN 10216-5 and EN 10217-7 tubes; the ones in bold differ from ASME (for example DN 65: 76.1 mm against 73.0 mm for NPS 2½). Order by the standard your drawing calls for.

Frequently asked questions
Welded or seamless: which do I need?
Welded tubes and pipes cover most food, process, structural and decorative uses at a lower price. Seamless pipe is chosen for high pressure, high temperature and critical process lines, or where the specification asks for it. Tell us the application and the standard, and we propose the product.
What is the difference between a tube and a pipe?
Pipe is ordered by nominal size and schedule, for example 2″ 10S, which is 60.3 × 2.77 mm: the outside diameter stays the same and the wall changes with the schedule. Tube is ordered by its exact outside diameter and wall, for example 25 × 1.5 mm.
What do 5S, 10S, 40S and 80S mean?
They are the wall-thickness schedules for stainless pipe in ASME B36.19M: the higher the number, the thicker the wall. A 2″ pipe (60.3 mm) has a 1.65 mm wall in 5S, 2.77 mm in 10S, 3.91 mm in 40S and 5.54 mm in 80S. The size chart on this page lists every size from 1/8″ to 12″.
How do I calculate the weight of a stainless steel tube?
For a round tube or pipe: kg per metre = (outside diameter − wall) × wall × π × density ÷ 1,000, with the sizes in mm and the density in kg/dm³ (7.9 for 304, 8.0 for 316L). A 60.3 × 2.77 mm tube in 304 weighs about 3.96 kg/m. The calculator on this page also does square and rectangular sections.
Which certificates and tests come with the material?
EN 10204 3.1 certificates with full heat traceability, confirmed per lot in our quotation. Third-party 3.2 inspection and ultrasonic, penetrant or radiographic testing are available on request; name the inspection body and the tests before we quote, as they add cost and time.
Can you supply fittings and flanges with the pipes?
Yes. Elbows, tees, reducers, caps and flanges in matching grades can go with your tubes and pipes in one delivery, with one set of documents. Special flanges are made to order and take longer.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the size and the quantity. Standard sizes come from stock or from production; made-to-order sizes, project quantities, large-diameter pipe and special items take longer. We confirm availability and the date in our offer; transport comes on top.
Can tubes go on one truck with sheet, plate and bar?
Yes. Tubes, pipes, fittings, profiles, sheets, plates and bars can be combined in one shipment from Beveren (Port of Antwerp), FCA Beveren or delivered.
